Scamacca Can't Be Bothered Attitude
To me, he looks like he has no fight in him and can't be bothered.

A precise analysis goose. And when you think that Paqueta was bought as a number 10 to provide the chances for Scamacca it shows what an inept manager Moyes is.

Re: Scamacca Can't Be Bothered Attitude
Scamacca isn’t quick like Antonio, he isn’t going to go past ppl like Antonio does (sometimes). But his touch & hold up play is better.

He does most of his good work in the final third. He can’t do that if we have 30% fucking possession. If we’re going to play that way then Antonio is better suited to start.

Unless we find a way of playing down the pitch and not just hoofing it, Scamacca is waisted.

Re: Scamacca Can't Be Bothered Attitude
Quite agree SA, and because of that our belief has gone too.
Losing the Antonio from 2-3 years ago has been key to this and our trajectory of direction has been a declining one ever since.

Either play two up front or play two banks of five, we have no one equipped to do the lone striker role, it’s futile and for the players demoralising, which we have seen in performances and their body language.

Re: Scamacca Can't Be Bothered Attitude
Ings and Scamacca need to be physically like Antonio 3 years ago to be successful. The methods and system has not changed. One up top running the channels and getting on the end of the long diagonals etc. bullying their way thru.

You cannot buy a different type of player and not change how you play and you have to change the whole team, change tge training drills and work for weeks to embed it.

In the current Premiership era you need relentless pressing, speed and great wing backs too. On top of all that you need a manager and coaching team who believe in the system and have experience of how to implement it. We don’t.

It’s a half baked mess of players not suited to a style and system of play that teams know how to negate. Hence our position and increasing likelihood of relegation

Re: Scamacca Can't Be Bothered Attitude
When Scamacca scored the first goal against AEK Lanaca Moyes only gave a " pathetic hand clap" not a customary punch in the air. As if he trying to make out...." ok you scored....so what".

A professional minded .man would put his personal feelings aside for the betterment of the whole team......but not Moyes!

" Instead of balls to feet and players moving into space he is told to run like fuck and.....errr......run like fuck some more"

That made me laugh. So true, though.

This thread reminds me of when people moaned about Haller 'not smiling' when he scored.

Side of Ham .
I agree 100% reckon there's goals in that pairing. But it would involve a tactical re think so no chance.

Remember BFS lucked into finding Valencia and Sakho the madman. They looked mustard. But Carroll straight back in when fit and 1 one front again.

Does my nut in even now

That’s what I recall Ron from reports at the time but perhaps RM10 is correct? Can’t always believe what u read on T’Internet :-) but I remember that Kostic turned us down and then he settled for Cornet. So he missed most of his targets except Aguerd.

That said, did he have a tactical plan and identify players for it? It don’t look like it :-?

Ron Eff 7:48 Sat Mar 18
Re: Scamacca Can't Be Bothered Attitude
He wanted Kostic. Cornet was the back up option.

He wanted cornet so you are wrong, just making it up

Sir Alf 7:24 Sat Mar 18
Re: Scamacca Can't Be Bothered Attitude
Scamacca was not who Moyes wanted but settled for. He wanted the lad from Chelsea who was on loan at Southampton and of course Lingard.

He didn’t want Downes allegedly and Cornet was not the highest on his list which probably has 10 CBs.

Re: Scamacca Can't Be Bothered Attitude
I do not think this is true at all.
Yes, he has a face like a smacked arse, and has had since shortly after he came here.
Why?
Because he was sold a fucking pup!
As a technically very good striker he had every right to think that he was being bought for his abilities and that the team would look to make the most of them.
He is off to the premier league, the best league in the world, Home to Guardiola; Klopp; etc. and an opportunity to compete weekly with the best.
Enter David Moyes into Gianluca's world and the wheels come off rapidly. Instead of balls to feet and players moving into space he is told to run like fuck and.....errr......run like fuck some more. Oh, and make sure you put in a defensive shift or you will be hooked.
Instead of having players around him, clever movement and imaginative patterns of play he is isolated up front, waiting for the next hoof out of defence.
Having just got over injury he is made to stand on the sidelines for around 6 minutes waiting to come on as a sub, seeing a striker taken off, who was having a mare, expecting to go on but, wait for it....... Moyes decides to bring on a winger .
I don't know about "Can't be bothered" I think it is more about "why am I wasting my time here?"
If any of us were treated like this in our place of work we would feel the same and look fucking miserable too.
And, by the way, look at the faces around you as you leave that shithole stadium after another turgid display, it's in our fucking blood but we all look like we can't be bothered too!
It may be true that he want's out but who in their right mind would want to stay and be treated like that?

Ings and Scamacca have never played together yet when they play seperately they both look like they miss each other to play off.

Why can’t ‘the winner’ see this?

Scamacca works as one of a front 2
Ings works as one of a front 2

Moyes "nah I'll play one up top and.fuxk both off"

Re: Scamacca Can't Be Bothered Attitude
No surprise he is fucked off. We are a shit team with Moyes in charge who continually picks a carthorse in-front of him.
Doubt he has had any man management from the Sweaty and probably regrets coming to an unprofessional outfit who play negative football. Fucking clueless

Re: Scamacca Can't Be Bothered Attitude
I was reading about Vincent Company and what he had taken from Guardiola in terms of how to manage and the biggest thing he said he learnt was " to make a player better".

What I thought was there are certain conditions in a Guardiola club that enables that a bit more easily than most but if that really is Vincent's core or one of his core beliefs then its indisputable as an aim. If you make a player better the team will benefit.

The only decision next is what does better look like?

Re: Scamacca Can't Be Bothered Attitude
Scamacca is a terrific striker and he's been injured for a while but to suggest he's not interested is nonsense. He's Italian and they traditionally need to feel loved to get the best out of them. Moyes is a vampire of a manager sucking the soul out of players and fans alike.

JayeMPee 12:00 Sat Mar 18
Re: Scamacca Can't Be Bothered Attitude
Moyes is the problem, thought Scamacca worked hard, got an albeit lucky goal, wasn't it his shot which led to Bowens first? Should never have been taken off when he was by the stubborn, useless turd of a manager who no doubt will put him back on the bench v the saints if Antonio fit. Scamacca should start in the next few games with Antonio playing wide but lets waste another striker and sell him on for half of what we paid for him, useless scots pr#ck!!!
